I partner with cat cafes and cat adoption facilities for on and off-site yoga to benefit and promote the adoption of our feline friends.

Since first starting yoga, my kitties were an essential, curious part of my home practice. During the pandemic, my work on Zoom began and Drake and the Baby became stars with cameos in nearly every class. As if on cue, whenever I would tape a yoga video, at least one of them would come out for her closeup, lounging on my notes or sprawling between my feet in warrior poses. Drake and the Baby were the original cats on mats.

In early 2024 I lost my soul cat of 14 years and her sister just 40 days later. Yoga both helped me cope with the loss while also reminding me of their absence. Those loves changed my whole world; we raised each other. Because of them, my new yoga kittens have it better than any cat I’ve ever met. We practice regularly on Zoom and they make themselves known in one way or another. Kitties make for excellent practice partners. Rare is the pose more therapeutic than a seat on the mat petting a cat.
